Unplanned Maintenance 5/11

At approximately 10:00pm on 5/11, we were performing a routine drive replacement on a RAID array that powered the mail database and a number of shared hosting customers.

Unfortunately during the replacement the RAID became unavailable, which meant that we needed to restore from a backup taken late 5/10 which we did.

We’re currently in the process of bringing the old RAID back online and will update this post when more information is available.

Credit Card Charges

Marquee Ticketing a subsidiary of Ideanode, Inc., recently switched payment processors. Unfortunately do to an error with payment partner the credit card descriptor line was set to ‘Ideanode’ instead of ‘Marquee Ticketing.’

If you’ve recently made a purchase for tickets to the Denver Botanic Gardens Summer Concert Series or the Monolith Festival or from NIPP.com this is the reason for the charge.

Emergency Power Maintenance Apr 17, 2008

This evening between 10:30PM and 11:59PM MDT we’re going to re-route power for many of the Ideanode servers, necessitating a reboot. We may see interruptions in service to both the email and web hosting, we’re working to minimize things as much as possible.

Mail Server Upgrades 1/4/08

We’ll be making some upgrades to one of the main mail servers tonight between 10pm-12am MST. Total expected downtime is under 10 minutes, if anything changes we’ll make an additional note here.

Email Slowdown on 4/11/07

There was an email slowdown yesterday, April 11th late morning/early afternoon.

There was an issue with the virus scanning software, many emails were queued for up to a half hour at a time, once we corrected the issue they all went through.

We’ve been keeping extra close watch today at the performance and everything is back to normal, if you notice anything odd please open a Support Issue

Mail Server Maintenance 10/4/06

UPDATE: This maintenance has been completed.

We are performing some mail server maintenace this evening to complete capacity, most shared hosting customers will be affected.

We anticipate being down between 10PM MDT and completing around 2 or 3AM MDT, but will post again when maintenance is complete.

During this time, you will not be able to send or receive mail, but you will not lose any mail sent to you at this time.

More Anti-Spam Measures

We’ve installed some more anti-spam measures on the mail servers after testing, and found that they’ve significantly reduced the amount of spam getting through to your inbox. If you see any unusual behavior, make sure to drop a line in “support.”/support

Maintenance 7/11/06

There will be server maintenance this evening, July 11th from approximately 10pm – 11:59pm. We anticipate only a few minutes of interruption in service to web and email to some clients.

If you have difficulty reaching the Ideanode web site, as always check our offsite status blog.

Maintenance in the evening of 4/18

We’re planning on performing some maintenance on some of the key server systems, you might experience disruption in site serving or retrieval of mail this evening for a few minutes between 9 and 10PM. We will post another message when maintenance is complete.

Brief Web Server Outage

A particular web site was hit with an automated attack tonight, causing some load and server issues around 10:45-11:00PM MST. We’ve identified the problem and taken steps to prevent it from happening in the future.
