I love that no matter where I am in the world, everyone can see what I’m doing. This will especially
come in handy in the next few years when I move abroad. Also, being able to work for a client while in a different state or country is very liberating.
I dislike the never-ending battle of incompatibility. I’ll get a page working perfectly but when I test it in other browsers and on other platforms, I may be set back a few steps. Even so, the more I test, the stronger the site.

That would have to be breaking apart somebody’s website, either their HTML source code or their plain CSS, and figuring out a solution to a problem by applying their approach to my own site. I am such a nerd.
I am surprised by the infinite ability I now have to publish anything, anytime, without fussing in Dreamweaver. My new website is mostly (but not all) automated and I can’t believe I ever did whole sites the hard way.
I am trained as a photographer, not a computer programmer – so of course I’d choose my camera over my Mac. Shooting gets me out meeting people everyday in new places and experiences, not sitting in my dungeon of a room, staring at my computer screen.

I integrated a blog into the rest of my site, which presented interesting challenges that I am still ironing out. However, being able to write an article and publish it immediately without reinventing the wheel every time is very cool. In a way I have my own online publication, which was my ultimate goal.
My AETAS Gallery allows me to put up sets of pictures in a loose edit, hours after a shoot; I love it! No longer do I have to rely on Sportsshooter.com’s hidden galleries or hours in Dreamweaver. Gallery is a kickass, powerful tool that I will continue to use for years to come.
